This program aims at broadening the academic and professional scope of the interns on Ghanaian working experience , cultural and traditional values . In this program, language development is one of the key areas we emphasize on for our students and our companies have a clear understanding of that.

Personal branding
ICON Consult emphasizes personal branding as a prerequisite for success in any chosen field .We therefore organize personal branding seminars for our students and professionals. Based on the academic objectives and the chosen field of our students and professionals , our experts take them through personal branding essentials for career and professional success. Students are thought CV writing, cover letters and different types of letters , preparing and excelling at interviews, business plan, proposal writing and other relevant write-ups in English.
By the end of this program , students would have developed a personal brand and certain vital personal documents such as CV, Career profiles, Cover letter etc. on their own.
Career coaching and development
ICON Consult organizes career coaching and development conferences and seminars for students and professionals. Seasoned career coaches and experts are engaged as resource persons to offer the needed coaching for our students and professionals for success in their chosen field.
Our students are encouraged to sign on these conferences during their period of internship.
ICON Consult runs a robust English proficiency course for students and professionals who wish to improve their speaking and understanding of the English language; which is one of our main objectives for our interns .
In addition, students are taken through a schedule where they are made to read corporate documents and selected books. They are then evaluated through oral questions to test their understanding and explanations are given to them where necessary. They are also put in reading clubs to discuss books or materials they are assigned and to also interact which would facilitate a faster command of the English language.

ICON Consult is part of a network of professionals from diverse fields and student clubs at top universities in Ghana such as University of Ghana, Lancaster University, Ashesi University, GIMPA, UPS etc. Our students are linked to these networks and clubs during their period of internship where they ask questions, engage in discussions and are exposed to the current trends in their chosen field of studies.
This program offers mentorship for our students during and even after their internship, giving them a wide network and community of professionals in their chosen field.
ICON Consult organises excursions, games picnics and other interesting events to make the internship of our interns a memorable and fun experience.
Students are taken to tourist sites where they are told stories and history of the Ghanaian culture.
We encourage our students to sign-up for this because it’s interactive and informal nature enhances the English language development of our students.
